Hypebeast x PUMA “The Dim Sum Project” Blaze of Glory OG & LTWT 

Hong Kong’s rich and vibrant landscape has forever held the cultural pillar of food close to its heart. With the ebb and flow of a fast-paced, bustling city, eating out and eating well are what’s important to its inhabitants. In Hypebeast‘s latest collaborative project with PUMA, we look towards these inherently important facets of Hong Kong culture; food and namely dim sum act as a design inspiration. Together this forms the basis for “The Dim Sum Project” Blaze of Glory pack which includes both the original “OG” and lightweight “LTWT” Blaze of Glory. For anybody familiar with dim sum, har gao (shrimp dumplings) and siu mai (pork dumplings) are mainstays of any outing and are integrated into the aesthetics of the white “Har Gao” Blaze of Glory LTWT and the yellow “Siu Mai” Blaze of Glory OG.

The “Har Gao” version features a subtle shrimp camo beneath a thin translucent layer, mimicking the wrapper skin of a Har Gao. Furthermore, the “Siu Mai” is a more simple affair with high quality suede and leather clad in a tonal yellow that also represents the wrapper of a Siu Mai.

The Hypebeast x PUMA “The Dim Sum Project” Blaze of Glory OG & LTWT pack will release on Friday, May 10 at CROSSOVER Flagship & Sunway Store. Each pair comes with a custom dustbag and specially created pair of commemorative chopsticks.

ZOZOTOWN x adidas Originals Campus 80s "ZOZO"

 Released in between the 1982 and 1983 seasons as the adidas Tournament, the iconic Trefoil design quickly gained a loyal following in the growing hip-hop movement at the time. Now renamed as the Campus 80s, adidas Originals is set to bring back this classic with help from Japanese online retailer ZOZOTOWN. With the expansive adidas archive as their reference, the creative team at ZOZOTOWN made several alterations and improvements to the original design. Simply known as the CP80s ZOZO, the finished product extrudes air of luxury with its details. Finest materials sourced from Italy, the shoe clad mostly in premium suede. Designers also alternated the shoe’s instep portion in navy pony hair. To tweak the design a bit more, ZOZOTOWN also switched out the adidas Three-Stripe marking with different treatments. The lateral side fashions a plume of pony hair in white while the one on the instep version features one in snakeskin.

XLARGE x adidas Originals SS 80s “Giraffe”

Following last year’s successful launch of XLARGE x adidas Originals Campus 80s, which some dubbed the “Leopard” for its feline pattern accents, the two have teamed up again for another Africa savanna or Serengeti-themed design. Based on the adidas Originals Superstar 80s, the new collaboration features another mostly suede silhouette, though this time in a subtle dark brown hue. And where there were leopard print accents are now appointed in pony hair with a distinctive “giraffe” pattern.

UNITED ARROWS x adidas Originals ZX 500 OG

 Tapping the classic ZX 500 for yet another retro release, adidas Originals has teamed up with UNITED ARROWS once again to craft a collaborative piece of footwear for Summer 2013. Following in the footsteps of last year’s espadrille-inspired Rod Laver, this season’s drop sees the ZX 500 with OG construction of mesh and suede alongside a cross-country color palette of white, grey and forest green. Standing out from the otherwise subtle appearance are fluorescent green accents on the rubber outsole, midsole branding and extra set of laces.

Beauty & Youth x adidas Originals Rod Laver in White Running Forest

A collaboration with Japan’s Beauty & Youth finds adidas restoring the luster to one of its most iconic silhouettes, the adidas Originals Rod Laver. Built with a combination of mesh and leather across the upper — along with a strip of suede reinforcement at the toe — the shoe carries a slightly slimmed down shape finished in classic OG fashion, featuring a white base with green accenting at the heel and outsole. The darker green shade and off-white midsole are reminiscent of the shoe’s ’70s origins, while the cork footbed delivers natural moisture-absorbing comfort.

Snoop Dogg x HUF 2013 Spring/Summer

While HUF has planned some large-scale collaborations for Spring/Summer 2013, including a recently noted project with Diamond Supply Co., the brand has also teased audiences with an upcoming collaboration with Snoop Dogg. The news comes in the form of a photo of Snoop in HUF’s “12 Galaxies” tee, leisurely reclining in an oversized wicker chair. Interestingly, Snoop has ostensibly foregone his ‘Lion’ suffix, donning “Snoop Dogg”-embroidered slippers in combination with what looks like a pair of ‘Plant Life’ socks. United Arrows x NEW BALANCE CM1500UA

United Arrow is coming with it on the collaboration tip with New Balance. Here we see the a 1500 silo in the colorway of brown/sand. The materials include a make up of mesh and suede. Other notable accents on this runner include a gum rubber outsole, gold branding on the center “N” and two choices of laces.
